Springbank Gardens captures the essence of the old Wonderland Gardens site at its peak in the 1940s. It is the ideal location for any outdoor private function or special event. Not only can it accommodate a seated event with covered seating options, but it also provides a unique location for a concert, presentation or show. Or why not use the pavilion as a dance floor for an evening under the stars? With shelter, acres of land and entertainment features, any outdoor occasion is guaranteed a success at Springbank Gardens.
This facility can accommodate a sit down dinner, theatre-style or cocktail-style for 150 people.
Catering companies that have a business licence, insurance, and the ability to prepare all food off-site and transport it to Springbank Gardens are permitted. Kitchen facilities are only available for light preparation duties and are not equipped for cooking food. The bandshell comes with a basic PA system, which includes an auxiliary cord, a microphone and a podium. Sound amplification is limited between 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sound levels are governed by the City of London noise by-law, and are monitored by City of London staff.
Public events (ie: festivals, run, etc.) must refer to the Special Events Council Policies - amplified sound. Please email recreation@london.ca to request this form.
Tables and chairs are included in facility rental for private functions only. Tables: 6 feet round (15) and/or rectangular. Chairs (150): white wedding chairs (tables and chairs are not to be removed from the facility).
For fees pertaining to public events (ie: festival, run, etc.) please refer to the Special Events Council Policies.
The City of London will not be held responsible for chair/table rentals - please make arrangements with your rental company for delivery and pick-up.
No internet service is provided at this facility.
Table clothes, cutlery, wine glasses, etc., are not provided. This must be arranged with your caterer.
No overnight storage of any kind is permitted (no alcohol or decorations).
No smoking under the Guy Lombardo Pavilion. Smoking is permitted 30 feet (nine meters) from the building.
Staff will not supervise children.
No confetti or rose petals permitted.
If your intention is to decorate or set-up for your event, it is recommended that you book the full day; otherwise, please refer to your contract agreement for approved hours.
Battery operated candles are preferred. Fire Marshall regulations indicate that lit candles must be in a container one inch rounder than the candle, and the container must be three inches above the flame.
All decorations must be taken down and removed at the end of the function.
No overnight storage of any kind is permitted (no alcohol or decorations).
We suggest you contact the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario(AGCO) three weeks in advance of your function. The Liquor License must be posted and your bartenders must be Smart Serve Trained. We recommend you hire two bartenders to cover breaks. No bar is to be left unattended at any time.
Public events (ie: festival, run, etc.) must refer to the Liquor Licence section of the Special Events Administrative Procedures Manual and compliance with City of London Alcohol Policy is required.
