The project team has completed the Environmental Assessment Study for the widening of Adelaide Street North. An Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the Class EA planning process used in developing the recommended plan, including the alternatives considered, the preferred design, impacts and mitigation measures, and consultation activities. The ESR was available for 30-day public review period from August 11, 2023, to September 11, 2023. The study is now complete.
The City sent out a notice of commencement to residents, business owners and interested stakeholders to notify them of the Environmental Assessment's start.
A Public Information Centre was scheduled for November 2018 at the Stoney Creek branch of the London Public Library - interested parties were encouraged to attend. The public provided comments specific to the potential Adelaide Street North road widening to the project team which was critical to the development of this Environmental Assessment.
A Public Information Centre was scheduled for June 2019 at A. B. Lucas Secondary School. The team provided all interested parties with an update on the project and listened to feedback that will be critical to shaping the recommendations provided by the Environmental Study Report.
The project team is currently preparing an Environmental Study Report. This report will be available for a 30-day public review period, and is expected to be complete by the end of July 2023.
