NOTICE OF INTENT TO REMOVE A HOLDING PROVISION
The Approval Authority will consider removing the Holding Provisions as applied to the lands described below at a future Council Meeting. The Approval Authority will not hear representations from the public on these matters. If you have any questions or comments about this matter, please call the planner identified below.
300 & 306 Princess Avenue – The Delegated Authority for the City of London intends to consider removing the h-18 holding provision from the subject lands. The purpose of the “h-18” provision is to ensure that a consultant archaeologist, licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS) under the provisions of the Ontario Heritage Act (R.S.O. 1990 as amended) is retained to carry out a Stage 1 (or Stage 1-2) archaeological assessment of the entire property. Development or property alteration shall only be permitted on the subject property containing archaeological resources or areas of archaeological potential if the archaeological resources have been conserved by removal and documentation, or by site preservation (Stages 3 and 4). No demolition, new exterior construction, grading, or any other activity where soil disturbance will occur or might be reasonably anticipated shall take place on the subject property prior to the City of London receiving the MTCS compliance letter indicating that all archaeological licensing and reporting requirements have been satisfied. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of London or of the Approval Authority to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the application is adopted or approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the proposed amendment is adopted or approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

Requires up to 11 Members with one being a youth representative (ages 15 to 24). Members shall assist promoting and facilitating a barrier-free London for citizens of all abilities (universal accessibility).
Community Advisory Committee on Planning
Requires up to 11 Members with one being a youth representative (ages 15 to 24). Members shall serve as the City’s Municipal Heritage Committee.
Environmental Stewardship and Action Community Advisory Committee
Requires up to 11 Members with one being a youth representative (ages 15 to 24). Members should have an interest and/or background in environmental initiatives.
