430 First Street – The purpose and effect of this zoning change is to permit a bakery, restaurant, and small-scale complementary uses within the existing building. Possible change to Zoning By-law Z.-1 FROM a Restricted Service Commercial (RSC1) & Open Space (OS4) Zone TO a Restricted Service Commercial Special Provision (RSC1(_)) Zone & Open Space (OS4) Zone. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of London or of the Approval Authority to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the application is adopted or approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the proposed amendment is adopted or approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

To permit a maximum front yard depth of 13.9m whereas 6.0m is the maximum required. To permit a maximum height of 16.5m whereas 15m is the maximum permitted. To permit a maximum density of 225 units per hectare whereas 200 units per hectare is the maximum permitted. To permit a long-term bicycle parking rate of 0.5 spaces per unit whereas long-term bicycle parking at a rate of 0.9 spaces per unit is required. To permit unlimited encroachment for a balcony (canopy) whereas 1.5m is the maximum projection permitted provided the projection is no closer than 3.0m to the lot line.

Notice of Public Participation Meeting – Ward Boundary Review – Final Report and Recommendations - Tuesday, December 10, 2024, not to be heard before 1:00 PM, Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 Dufferin Ave., London ON. The Strategic Priorities and Policy Committee will hold a public participation meeting to receive delegations and their comments regarding the Ward Boundary Final Report and Recommendations. The Ward Boundary Final Report will provide the community’s feedback and recommendations for future ward boundaries for the City of London.

NOTICE OF TASK FORCE VACANCIES – Council Resourcing Review Task Force – City Council is seeking applications from individuals interested in being considered for appointment to fill five (5) vacancies on the Council Resourcing Review Task Force for the term ending no later than October 2025.
The Task Force shall be responsible for reviewing and providing recommendations with respect to the Councillors’ resourcing, including:
- the Council Policy: Remuneration for Elected Officials and Appointed Citizen Members Policy
- base compensation for members of Council and the Mayor
- supplementary compensation and funding source for additional work, such as stipends for board and committee service
- councillor workload; including minimum workload expectation, balancing workloads across Council
- councillor severance pay
- councillor role description
- the Council Member’s Expense Account Policy
- a role preview document.
